The Hawaii Business Education Aassociation is offering an award of up to $500 to any HBEA member for the purpose of purchasing equipment or supplies which will be used in the classroom.  If you are not an HBEA member you may apply for membership.  The purpose of Hawaii Business Education Association (HBEA) is to promote business education in the state of Hawaii.  You can find an application by clicking here.

Teacher Grant

 Guidelines for grant

  1. The use of the grant money should be clearly defined. It can be used to buy such things as a digital camera, printers, scanners or new computer for the classroom.
     

  2. Grants are awarded on the merit of the usage and need. It must be a business related activity or supply.
     

  3. Requests for travel (air or ground transportation), in-service training, hiring of consultants and substitutes, T-shirts, incentives, and parties are not allowed.
     

  4. Teachers may submit one application per year.

  • Number of students benefiting
  • How is it related to student learning or student learning outcomes
  • What standard or student learning outcome is this addressing?
  • What is the longevity of this equipment or supply item?  Can it be used repeatedly in the future?
